Author Note: More comments at the end, but just have to say, got this thread from a book I was reading, and couldn't get the images of Mulder and Scully out of my head...hehehehehehehehe....it has to be written...:) Enjoy! Okay to archive anywhere, as long as my name stays with it! *************************************************** "No. Absolutely not. Not in a million years." Dana Scully's shocked voice startled her partner who raised his head to look over at her with an enquiring expression. Scully was holding the phone a slight distance from her ear and staring at it like it was an alien. After a moment, she put the phone back to her ear and sighed, obviously listening to someone rant on the other end, the expression of disbelief still on her beautiful face. After about three minutes of silence in which Scully simply murmured "uhmmm, yes," and an occasional "NO WAY" she finally must have decided she'd had enough. "Listen, I said no and I mean no...that's the last thing I'm going to say. I'll talk to you later, but I have to go now..." she was obviously again cut off by the voice on the other end of the phone. Mulder hid a smile as he watched the "enigmatic" Dr. Scully try to stifle her rising temper, glad for once it wasn't aimed at him. "No, I can't talk any more, Mulder and I have a case we need to get on, and he's getting impatient waiting for me..." She stopped mid sentence and gasped, turning bright red, obviously at something the person had said. With a quick "No...way...in...hell," she slammed the receiver down, then continued to stare at it. After a few moments, Mulder deduced she wasn't going to move, so he headed towards her. "Sounded pretty heated there Scully...anything you want to tell me?" He asked hesitantly. He wasn't sure what kind of mood she was in. When he received no response, he moved in closer, and when he was nearly face to face with her, waved a hand in front of her face. "Scully...Earth to Scully...." he intoned in a mellow voice. She jumped back quickly, nearly knocking over her chair in the process. "Mulder!" she sounded shocked, still looking not quite there. "Geez, sorry Scully, but you zoned out on me there...want to tell me what's going on?" She just looked at him for a moment, something in those deep, blue eyes he couldn't quite fathom. Suddenly, as if realizing he was reading much more into this, she backtracked, looking down to quickly gather her purse. "An old friend wanting me do him a favor." She said quickly, moving toward the door. She cut off his next question. "Mulder, leave it, okay, it was nothing." With a shrug, and a look that promised he would get back to this later, he followed her out the door. There was no way he was letting this drop. Added to the fact it had been a man that called her....he pushed that emotion down, knowing now was not the time. But he wasn't going to let it go that easily. He'd get it out of her, one way or another. ********************************************** Dana Scully threw her keys on the coffee table and collapsed with a sigh onto her couch. she thought to herself, rubbing her forehead to combat the slight ache that had formed and stayed with her since Chris's call that afternoon. And Mulder hadn't been any help either. Oh, he'd dropped the subject of that call alright. For about a half hour. Then he was back in inquisitor mode. He was driving her crazy. There was no way she was going to tell him about what Chris wanted her to do. No way in Hell...as she believed she'd put it. she blushed even thinking about it. And what scared her, was that she was thinking about it. Seriously. Even after telling Chris no. And what totally terrified her, was her reaction to his last comment, that had made her slam down the phone as if possessed. Not because she was worried about what Chris would think, it would merely be a favor for his latest "girlfriend." No, she'd been thinking of Mulder's reaction, should she actually do it. And it had made her hot. Very hot. she pulled herself up with a jerk, Yeah. Right. When Chris had left three messages, begging her to reconsider on her machine. She knew he wouldn't give up until she said yes. He was one of the few friends she'd kept from Med School, and he knew her well enough to know she would consider it. They'd done some wild things back then, things the staid, repressed, professional Dr. Scully would cringe at today. But never with each other. They'd always been friends, she'd never felt more for him than that. It was kind of nice to have one male as a friend with no pressure. But then again, she'd never had a best friend she loved. Truly, madly, deeply. Until Fox William Mulder. She'd loved him for quite a while, and she'd become quite adept at hiding this from him. She knew he cared for her, maybe even loved her. But the time had never been right. She didn't know if it ever would. But boy, did she want it to be after today's conversation with Chris. She settled deeper into the couch as she finally let herself replay that fateful conversation from earlier that day. ****************************** Chris's call had come out of the blue, catching her by surprise. She hadn't heard from him in several months, but being that he was working in Richmond, that wasn't surprising. They talked usually several times a year, but not often. Than that.'s why his offer, his "favor" really, had come as such a shock. "Dana...how's my favorite wild Med School child?" He said, his voice as breezy as ever, as if it hadn't been several months since their last conversation. "Fine...god, it's so good to hear from you...how are you doing?" She'd been surprised, glad to hear his voice, and grimacing at some of the memories it brought back from days long ago. "Not too bad, can't complain about the work, keeps me busy...and you? Still out there looking for little grey men?" He asked, humor in his voice. She bristled a little bit, as she did each time she was met with that familiar response from friend and foe alike, but quickly let it fade. Outsiders didn't understand them, and never would. She'd finally accepted that for the fact it was. "Yeah, still out there..." she said, letting the defensiveness of her voice, wondering now why he'd called. "Well, I guess you're wondering why I called," he said she thought as he went on, "so, I'll come right to the point. My girlfriend Laura..." She cut him off. "Laura? What happened to Kara? And Dawn? Or was it Diana?" She asked wryly. Chris wasn't known to stay faithful to anyone for a long time. Part of the reason they'd never been more than friends. "Laura's the love of my life, the only one now," he said, "and well, I know this is kind of odd..but she's a photography student at the local college up here, and she's working on her final project..." she had a bad feeling she knew where he was headed. Chris went on. "And well, she's doing a study of leather, and motorcycles..." was the first thought that ran through Scully's head. "And she needs a model..." She cut him off this time. "No way in hell. Not a chance." She said, refusing to even let him finish. But he did anyways. "Aw, come on...she really needs a red head, to stand out against the leather, and I can't think of anyone more photogenic...need I remind you of that time in Med School when you posed for..." She cut him off again with another emphatic "No way." She could feel Mulder's gaze on her now. She knew he was wondering who she was talking to. She didn't want to go into it. Especially since she didn't really want to think of Mulder and black leather in one thought. At least not at the office. Then again....there was that ongoing fantasy of his desk... She pushed the thought away, already feeling a blush creep up her face. "Come on, you know somewhere inside that refined body is the wild child, wanting one last fling...she'll do a great job, and no one will know who you are. Because of the ... nature... of the project, only her teacher will she the finished photos to grade...no one else...I'll even give you the negatives...we'll be careful, no one will ever find out...." He rambled on, as Scully tried to follow what he was saying, uttering a few "uhhh's" at the appropriate places. Her mind was far gone already, picturing herself in black leather, straddling a Harley...Mulder watching with anticipation and lust in his gaze... She jerked herself out of that fantasy again, as she heard Chris's voice trail off with a "please Dana..." "No way," she replied again, "Mulder and I have a case we need to leave on, he's getting impatient waiting for me..." His reply made her gasp and nearly drop the phone. "Just think how "impatient" he could get seeing you in black leather, on a Harley, every man's fantasy at one time or another,...you know, I'm sure he'd enjoy it almost as much as you would having him see you. Think about it...and remember I know you Dana Katherine Scully...and how you want to "Know" your partner..." She'd slammed the phone down, still immersed in the world he'd painted for her. Mulder. Black Leather. A Harley. Him watching her. Her slowly removing that black leather. Him ripping off the black leather. She almost moaned out loud. She was so far gone, she didn't even notice Mulder calling her. Than that.'s why his voice brought her back in a hurry. "Scully...Earth to Scully..." he was waving a hand in front of her face. And standing almost on top of her. She jumped back, nearly yelling his name, automatically trying to gain back that personal space she needed. She almost knocked her chair over in the process. She couldn't be this close to him now. Not with these decadent thoughts running rampant in her mind. God, she'd probably jump him right there and then, damn the leather all together if he didn't move. Seeing he wasn't moving, she broke eye contact and reached for her purse. What had he said? Something about wanting to know who it was on the phone. "An old friend wanting me to do him a favor." She replied curtly, heading for the door, not trusting herself so near her partner at the present time. She cut off the further questions she could see in his eyes, her sinking heart knowing, from the look in those hazel eyes, he wouldn't drop it for long. But even later was better. After she'd had time to cool down, to replace those thoughts of black leather and hot sex, with Mulder....with the tempered, normal, everyday affection she felt for her partner. Somehow, she didn't think that would be an easy task. **************************************** And it hadn't been. Here it was, nearly 1 AM in the morning and she was still dwelling on this. Seriously thinking about it. After the initial shock had worn off, she'd begun to remember how much she'd liked modeling back in Med School. God, if they knew some of the things she'd done then... To put it mildly, there was a reason Chris had called and asked her to be Laura's model. And she couldn't deny that deep down, she wanted to do it. Wanted to wear that black leather, straddle that Harley and ride for dear life. She wanted to indulge in those fantasy's, revel in them. She wanted Mulder to be there to watch her every move. And maybe add some of his own as well. She was getting hot just thinking about it. She moaned at the images she'd evoked, then closed her eyes and forced herself to calm down, trying to relax, and put all thoughts but sleep out of her head. She shouldn't dwell on it, she wasn't going to do it. No way. Not a chance. ****************************************** Author's End Note.... So, should she do it? And should Mulder be there? Feedback determines if I write it or not...but just think, all you shippers...Mulder, Scully...black leather...loads of UST that I love to resolve in RST.... let me know...hope you enjoyed...
