XXXXXXXXXXXXX Fox Mulder looked at the apartment building through the car window, his heart racing. How to do this... His fingers tapped the steering wheel as a slow drizzle started to fall. Taking a deep breath, he opened the car door. "Dana, I... Dana, I've been thinking... Look, I was wondering..." He stood in the doorway, his trench coat beginning to get saturated from the downpour. "I...ah, damn!" Scully looked out the front window of her apartment. That looked like Mulder's car...and there he was. What the hell was he doing here, at this time of the night? And why was he standing out there in the rain, getting soaked to the skin? Pulling her raincoat over her sweatpants and t-shirt, she opened her front door. "Dana...I'm thinking... I want to..." A trickle of water dropped from Fox's nose as he mumbled to himself. "Mulder?" He looked up quickly to see her in the doorway, her concern obvious. "Are you alright?" "Ah...Scully..." He stumbled over the words. "Get in here. You're going to catch pneumonia." She motioned him towards the door. Fox stood in the hallway, his coat dripping on the front carpet. Dana stepped past him, hanging her coat on a peg behind the door. "Give me your coat." He complied, watching her hand it up silently. "Come in here and sit down. I'll get some tea going -- you're soaked." She watched him loosen his tie, sitting down on the sofa nervously. This was not the Fox Mulder she knew... The tea was hot, too hot to drink. He gulped it down, letting the liquid burn his throat. Dana sat down beside him, a look of worry on her face. "Mulder, what's wrong? You haven't said a word since you got in here. Is there something I should know?" He raised his head, looking into her eyes. "I...ah...forget it." Getting to his feet, Fox headed for the door, his heart pounding. "Mulder!" She put out one hand, holding the door shut. Standing behind him, she waited for him to turn around. His hand rested on the peg, atop the trench coat he had so clearly wanted to put on and leave. Fox slowly turned, his eyes locking with Dana's. He leaned back, his back resting against the front door. His right hand rose, a slender finger tracing Dana's cheekbone softly. Impulsively his hand went behind her neck, pulling her to him, His lips pressed against hers, tentatively at first, then demanding. She didn't know what to say or do. One minute he was about to leave, then all of a sudden he was kissing her. But it was so...right. Her fingers laced through the hair at the back of his head, pulling him down to her level. Dana felt the hesitancy in his touch; the fear. But she wasn't afraid, not of him. She began to take the initiative, her tongue running over his lips and teeth lightly. Fox pulled away, his voice low and raspy. "I...ah...was coming over to talk to you about...us..."His eyes were soft and inviting, a deep well beckoning her in. "Us what?" She asked. Her hands travelled down to his waist, settling comfortably around him. "It's that, I think, we could, ah...we can." He tripped over his words quickly, all semblance of order gone. "What do you want?" Dana whispered, her face turned up towards his. "You." Fox murmured, a deep blush racing over his face. "I want you." His eyes dropped to the floor, afraid to hear the response. "Fox." Here it comes... "I want you too." She stood on tiptoe, kissing him lightly. A soft sigh escaped his lips as his arms went around her, his mouth eagerly devouring hers. A hand wandered up under her shirt, caressing the soft bare skin of her back. She moved closer to him, holding her body to him as she began to unbutton his shirt. Dana suddenly pulled away, catching her breath. He stood there, his eyes pleading. Undoing his tie, she slowly pulled it loose from around his neck, letting it drop from his shirt. "I'm getting whiplash." He nodded breathlessly, following her back down the hallway to the bedroom. As they entered the room Fox grabbed her, pushing her against the wall as he kissed her fiercely, his hands running up and down her back, his fingers entwining themselves in her red hair. She responded in kind, pulling his shirt down off his shoulders, dropping soft kisses over his chest as he nuzzled her shoulder. Reaching under her shirt, his hands travelled to her breasts, lightly touching and squeezing them. A muffled groan came from Dana, her mouth pressed against his shoulder. Deftly he pulled the shirt over her head, tossing it to one side as he ran his fingers delicately down her spine. "No sign of alien abduction here." He whispered into her mouth, eliciting a giggle. One of her hands began to unbuckle his pants, the other running over the smooth fabric longingly. "I'll take my chances with you." She said. Fox chuckled hoarsely, the air rushing out of his lungs in a low moan as her hands slipped inside his shorts, stroking him lightly. "Ah...Dana...I can die happy now." He cupped her buttocks in his hands, pulling the sweatpants down as he pulled her against him. His tongue gently travelled over the luscious curves of her shoulder, stopping at the curve of her neck. Nibbling lightly at the delicate skin, he moved one hand to her front, running his fingers down into her. "Oh, my..." She mumbled, her eyes closed. "Look at me." Fox demanded. Dana opened her eyes, drawing him into her. "I want to see you." She took a step towards the bed, pulling him along. He tripped on the edge of the carpet; falling atop her on to the mattress. Laughing, he rolled to one side, letting her catch her breath. "Now you can really say that I fell for you." His eyes laughed as he reached for his slacks, loose around his knees. His boxer shorts were still on, and he removed both in a hurried motion. Now fully naked, they lay side by side, facing each other. Mulder ran a finger along her left shoulder, lightly tracing the skin down to her waist, his hazel eyes looking deeply into hers. His right hand moved back up to rest on her cheek, holding it gently. "Look, I don't want to push you...ah.. I mean..." He shook his head, lost again. Dana giggled lightly., "You have such a way with words." She reached over, touching the tips of her fingers to his lips. "Shush." A soft smile came to her face. Fox felt his heart skip a beat as she leaned over, brushing his lips lightly with her own. "I'm very aware, very interested and very willing." She whispered in a deep, sexy voice. Her hand went behind his neck, tracing his spine as she drew him closer. They kissed tenderly for a minute. His hands gripped the back of her silky neck as he became more aggressive, more demanding with his tongue. Pulling away he nuzzled the soft curves of her body, lightly nipping with his teeth, revelling in her soft gasps. Dana's hand rested at the base of his spine as she enjoyed this, then her left hand curved down, drawing slow circles around his groin. He sucked in deeply, closing his teeth on her skin. "Ah..." He groaned as she began to run her hand up and down him in long, leisurely strokes. "I won't ask where you learnt this." "Good, because you don't need to know." She said into his mouth, her tongue dancing across his teeth playfully. Dropping his hand down between her legs, Fox began to gently probe her, his long slender fingers teasing and tantalising her. He paused when she let out a soft moan, savouring her pleasure. "There?" His eager voice murmured into her ear. She nodded, unable to speak, choosing to renew her stroking and caressing of her partner. Her hand tightened around him, feeling him rise and push against her. Dana drew back, her eyes staring deep into Fox's, trusting and loving. They beckoned him on, asking and begging at the same time. He nodded, touching his lips to hers as he rolled atop her. His hands rested on her hips, pulling her underneath him. Still tracing her fingers lightly under him, she took a deep breath. He entered her slowly, his hands resting on each side of her face as she closed her eyes. Running his thumbs along the red hairline by her temples, he felt her close around him, drawing him deeper into her. Fox kissed the sides of her mouth, an unspeakable joy in his heart. Dana opened her eyes to look at him, seeing the softness in his face. Shifting her hips slowly, she began to urge him on. Her right hand clutched the back of his head, her other hand resting on his buttocks as they began to rise and fall above her. Biting his bottom lip, he began to feel the urgency build; the want increase and become more demanding. Fox closed his eyes tight, trying for some form of self-control. "Fox." He opened them, smiling down at her. Dana took a deep breath, trying to gather her thoughts from the waves of pleasure threatening to overwhelm her. "Fox, I..." "Yes." He covered her mouth with his own. "Me too. But let's not say it out loud." He sighed as the pressure increased again. She pulled him close to her, her tongue flicking in and out of his mouth as her hips rose to meet him. A low moan came from her throat, encouraging him. Clenching his teeth, he moved faster, sensing that she was close as well. Suddenly she froze, a series of soft gasps escaping her. He felt his own release, the stars exploding under his eyelids. Groaning into her red hair, he took a hasty breath, trying to slow his heart. Fox looked down at Dana, his fingers gently touching her cheek. Kissing her on the forehead, he rose off her, moving to one side. She followed him, refusing to disentangle herself from his arms. "There's a blanket at the bottom of the bed." She whispered wearily. He reached down, pulling it up over them. She lay his head on his chest, running her fingers over the thin hair. "They'll probably tow my car." He murmured into her neck, one hand entwined in her hair. "Well, you could go move it." Her left hand rested comfortably on his hip. "No, I don't think so. I'll worry about it tomorrow." Fox dropped a kiss into her hair. "Everything can wait until tomorrow." Lying in each others arms they fell into a deep sleep, the rustling of the rainstorm outside singing them into paradise. **********************************************
